In response to the Department of Education’s need for thorough adjustment in the upcoming school year due to the global pandemic being faced, the Division Information Communications Technology Services Unit headed by ITO, Engr. Mignon Cecille M. Mangoba, initiated a province-wide webinar series entitled “DepEd Cavite Keeping Abreast with the New Normal through G-Suite for Education”.
The 5-day event aimed to capacitate and empower DepEd Cavite teachers by honing their skills in operating online platforms–particularly G-Suite for Education–to help them continually impart knowledge to Caviteño learners despite the current situation. This output-based webinar was conducted virtually through the use of Facebook Live and was embraced by the entire teaching force of SDO Cavite and nearby city divisions with an outstanding number of approximately 11,000 attendees.
As form of further assistance to the teachers, the organizers also provided them with PDF guides covering all the topics as well as video recordings of the whole series uploaded on the division’s YouTube channel (DepEd Cavite Province) for replaying purposes.
